Description

Introducing the RadioMaster 2.4G ELRS EP1 Nano Receiver, part of our open-source program based on ExpressLRS. This receiver comes in three different types of RX modules, and we have developed the Nano 2.4GHz RX of ESP8285 version named EP1 and EP2.

The EP1/EP2 RX has the same RF module as the PP RX and uses the ESP8285 MCU, allowing for easy firmware upgrades through WIFI. With its low latency and high refresh rate, this receiver is perfect for FPV races and Long Range FPV, as well as being ideal for Tiny whoop because of its ultra-light and Nano size.

The EP1 Nano Receiver features an omnidirectional antenna with a frequency range of 2400 MHz to 2500 MHz, a maximum receive refresh rate of 500Hz, and a minimum receiver refresh rate of 25Hz. It has a working voltage of 5v, a weight of 0.42g (without antenna), and dimensions of 10mm10mm3mm. The peak gain is 2.23dB.

Please note that the Official Perfect version of ELRS firmware has not been released yet, and currently, our PP_RX, EP1/EP2 RX, and ES24TX pre-loaded firmware are all beta versions. You can upgrade to the official firmware when the Official perfect target is available.

To bind the receiver:

Supply power to the PP/EP1/EP2 rx, wait until the LED on the RX is off, immediately turn off the power, and then repeat the above steps. When the RX is powered on for the third time, the LED light will start to double-flash, which means that the RX enters the binding mode.

Insert the ES24TX module or other DIY 2.4G ELRS TX to the radio transmitter, choose External RF mode to CRSF protocol, then find ELRS menu from the Radio systems (Need to copy the ELRS.LUA file to the SD-Card tools first). Enter into ELRS and press [Bind], the LED on the RX module will get solid if bind successfully.

Receiver LED status meanings:

PP RX: LED solid means bind successful or connection established; LED double-flash means in bind mode; LED flash slowly means no signal connection from the TX module.

EP1/EP2 RX: LED solid means bind successful or connection established; LED double-flash means in bind mode; LED flash slowly means no signal connection from the TX module; LED flash fast means in WIFI hotspot mode, allowing you to connect the WIFI of the RX and upgrade firmware of the RX via visit 10.0.0.1 from the web browser (password: expresslrs).

The package includes one EP1 Nano Receiver, one 40mm omnidirectional antenna, and one 90mm omnidirectional antenna.
